About the Event

Colin has lived in St Cross for some 30 years and following his retirement he studied for a History degree at King Alfred’s College. He then qualified as a Green Badge guide and has been a Registered City Guide since 2005, conducting tours around Winchester. His other interests include bellringing and archaeology. He joined the Cathedral band in 1986 and is looking forward to Sunday service ringing resuming in June.

Colin will explore 2,000 years of history of the “Liberty of the Soke”, the land to the east and south of the old Roman city walls that was owned and administered by the Bishops of Winchester?

The entry charge includes a glass of wine on arrival.  The cost is £12.50.
