Chairman of Friends
Since retiring from a nomadic career as an International Banker I have become involved with various Charities.
Having been born and brought up in Hampshire I moved away to pursue a successful career as an accountant .
I have lived in Winchester for over 17 years and I am active in a number of other charities, including Rotary.
We have lived in St. Cross since 1971. Together with my wife, Maureen, and our three children Catherine, Rosie and Adrian, we all sang in the St. Cross Choir during the 80s and we have been involved with our local community in many other ways.
My personal association with St Cross Hospital began in the 1970s but was later greatly enhanced after one glorious summer working in the Beaufort Tower on its archives. I became a ‘Founder Friend’ in 2011.
I have lived and worked in Winchester for 36 years being Estates Bursar of Winchester College, and I have been the Warden's nominative Trustee of St Cross for ten years and chair it's Property Committee.
I moved to St Cross with my husband, Stuart, in 1991 before the birth of our first child and fell in love with the Hospital and its beautiful surroundings. I was appointed Trustee of the Hospital in 2005 and Honorary Treasurer in 2011
I have lived in St Cross for 18 years. and feel very much part of the wider community of St Cross and I was delighted to be asked to give time to the Friends who are doing such great work in inviting people to support the Hospital of St Cross.
I have been part of the community at St Cross, along with my family, for the last dozen years. The Hospital, the worshipping community, and St Faiths School all enhance the sense of who we are and what we do for each other. I am privileged to be asked to contribute towards the work of the Friends of St Cross by being a trustee.
